 About the Technology

Fixed Bed Reactors consist of a stationary catalyst bed in pelletized form through which reactants flow, typically in gas or liquid phase at high temperatures. Reactions may occur under isothermal or adiabatic conditions.
Widely used in petrochemical refining and environmental processes, especially for large-scale continuous production.

Multiple configurations are available: upflow, downflow, trickle bed; with optional add-ons like intercoolers or side-feed injection.
For high heat transfer, shell-and-tube or tube-in-tube designs may be adopted.

Fluidized Bed Reactors are specialized systems where solid catalyst particles are suspended in gas or liquid flow, forming a fluid-like mixture. This enhances heat and mass transfer, ideal for catalytic cracking, gasification, and combustion.
